Better Touch Tool

Image
BTT - Better Touch Tool is a Junkie worthy application.   BTT It ables the user to map/remap various swipe genstures into time saving commands  - it has also eased the transition to OS X Lion.  BTT enables the user to map various swipe gestures to new commands or actions. The BTT UI is a bit overwhelming at first glance.  BTT enables you to define specific genstures for an application as well as different genstures for you built in Touchpad, external Magic Touchpad or External Magic Mouse.  It even has custom genstures for the Bamboo Tablet.   Gestures such as the five-finger-swipe or the three-finger-tip-tap can be programmed to show active windows or turn up the volume.  The UI offers a gesture example so you do not have to guess what the tip-tap motion is. There were a few gestures we were unable to get to work in our lab test.  However, BTT offers more than enough options to for new gestures you, that the one or two that are not working are very easy to overlook. Alarms allows you to drag and drop files onto the Alarms Timeline  at the point in time you you wish to be reminded. When the alarm notification triggers the Alarms icon in the menu bar "flashes" a notification alert. Simply dragging any item to the top of your screen will open the Alarms Timeline and allows you to schedule a notification by dropping it on the Alarms Timeline. past due items are shown in the try on the left hand side of the Alarms UI. If you want to defer a past due item, simply drag it to the new time. Alarms supports various document types such as documents, pictures and mindmaps as well as folders, web links, Evernote Notes and even Skype contacts equally well.  If you want to remember to make that critical
